MRCS is excited to announce the 2017 MRCS Academic and Fine Arts Showcase, being held on Friday, March 31st, at 6 pm in the MRAG Sanctuary. This display of talent in the performing arts, visual arts, academic excellence, and community service is open to all MRCS students, regardless of grade. If your elementary through high school student has shown diligence in these areas, they are invited to participate in this fantastic evening celebrating our students’ accomplishments. Examples of prior Showcase presentations are, but not limited to: ballet, piano, painting, singing, karate, drafting, academic excellence, Irish dance, sewing, pottery, drawing, tap dance, guitar, acting, graphic design, volunteerism, and poetry.
If your student has a talent, artwork, or a project to share, this is a great way to recognize their hard work. The application deadline is March 1st. All forms should be returned to the MRCS office. Links to the forms are below and are also located under the “forms” tab on the MRCS website.
Family and friends of MRCS are welcome to attend the Showcase, as well as the reception. If your family hasn’t participated in our annual Showcase, let this be your year to get involved! Remember, the stage and display hall are OPEN to ALL MRCS STUDENTS. Please contact your cell leader with questions, comments, or concerns. The MRCS Board looks forward to this exciting exhibit of our students’ achievements and hopes to see your family there!
All participants will receive a certificate of recognition. High school students, meeting specific criteria, are eligible to receive additional awards, as outlined below. The forms are also located under the “forms” tab on the MRCS website.
MRCS High School Academic & Fine Arts Awards Volunteer Service Awards (Please see the MRCS High School Academic & Fine Arts Awards link for requirements):
- Available for 9th -12th grade students
- MRCS Spirit of Mobile Award for community service
- Community Service hours
- Academic Awards for Seniors
- Fine Arts Achievement
***All samples of work must be submitted to the board along with an award application by March 1.
