Camp Grace

Age Groups

Canoeing,  swimming, paddle-boating, fishing, horseback riding, inflatables, disc golf, volleyball, lawn games, snacks, a fantastic BBQ dinner, and an evening bonfire are all part of this remarkable event.

Every person planning to attend (EVERY PHYSICAL BODY) must complete a Camp Grace release form. If you have not already turned in your families’ forms, click HERE to print the release form; be sure to print, complete, & bring BOTH pages to the Family Day event.

Every family with FOUR PEOPLE OR LESS should bring ONE 6-pack of canned drinks; families attending with FIVE OR MORE people should bring ONE 12-pack or TWO 6-packs of canned drinks. If your family has small children who prefer juice boxes, you may substitute a “box” of juice boxes for one of the required 6-packs of canned drinks. Please bring your canned drinks already chilled, if possible.

In addition to the drinks:

Casey & Werry Cell Group families should bring desserts.

Ramsey Cell Group families should bring cut-up fruit for our afternoon snack time.

Dalgety & Schansberg Cell Group families with FOUR PEOPLE OR LESS should bring a package of individual servings of chips (Lays, Fritos, Doritos in the small lunch box, individual-sized serving bags); families attending with FIVE OR MORE people should bring a LARGE package of individual servings of chips.

Fishing poles and bait are provided, though you may bring your own if you wish.  We will light a bonfire at dusk.  Families who wish to roast marshmallows or make s’mores should bring their own supplies, including food items and roasting sticks.

We will have inflatables for the younger children to enjoy, but we need your help to keep them safe! All children must be supervised by their own parents while using the inflatables.  We want to make sure that everyone remains safe, especially when children of varying ages are using the equipment.  With everyone doing their part, our children can have a great time!

MRCS will provide the BBQ (pulled pork) sandwiches, baked beans, water bottles, and paper products.  Please know that due to the quantity of people we will be serving we cannot accommodate dietary restrictions for health or religious reasons.  Please be sure to provide a bagged supper for yourselves and your children if our menu doesn’t suit your needs.  Thank you!

If you registered for horseback riding, please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your child’s scheduled time in order to receive details and instructions from the guides.  REMEMBER horseback riding requires CLOSED-TOE SHOES and a “ticket.”

Swimming is open this year due to the early date of the event. Remember to bring a change of clothes for later activities.

Upon arrival at Camp Grace, proceed through the gate and down the drive.  Near the far end of the drive on the left, there will be an opening in the white fence.  Pull through that opening and park in the field.

All other travel at the camp will be on foot.  First, walk to the dining area, located near the lake, to turn in a Camp Grace release form for each member of your family attending the event and drop off food and drink items.  If you have scheduled a time for your child to ride horses, either in the arena or on a trail ride, you will also pick up a horseback riding “ticket.”
