MRCS will offer the Iowa Achievement Test, Spring 2017, for our enrolled families. Achievement testing is required for 3rd, 5th, and 8th graders, as well as first year MRCS students in grades 3 and above, per the MRCS policy. The information needed to participate is listed below. If your student(s) is required to take an achievement test this year and you choose to make other arrangements for testing, please notify Michele Landrum, MRCS Administrator, prior to February 20th.
Test Dates: Wednesday and Thursday, March 29th & 30th
8:00 am to approximately 12:30 (Expected arrival time is 7:40 am)

Volunteers Needed: Five (5) volunteer test administrators are required for testing to occur. Those volunteering as test administrators must update their BJU account by January 15th, 2017. Hall monitor volunteers are also needed for both days. If you are interested in being a test administrator or hall monitor, please notify Mrs. Hawie, as soon as possible.
Instructions for ordering tests: Each family will need to order one test for each child that will be tested. Information about which test to order for your child(ren) can be found on the Bob Jones University website, bjupress.com.
Call Bob Jones University at 1-800-845-5731. Follow the menu prompts to select “Homeschooling” and then “Testing”. If you do not already have an account with BJU, you will be prompted to set one up. You will give BJU your name, home address, phone number, and email address. Once an account has been established, order the appropriate test for each child. Tests are ordered by “grade.” You can view the different test levels on the BJU Press website. We will NOT be administering the OLSAT. You will be asked to sign a homeschool verification form and return it to BJU. Tests may also be ordered online at bjupress.com. When placing an online order, select the ITBS, Form E test with the appropriate grade level for each child testing.
You will also be asked to provide our tester ID number: 75771213, and the test date, March 29/30.
Late test orders will not be accepted. Families unable to order by February 24th will be required to make their own testing arrangements. Private testing is not available through MRCS. However, Mrs. Hawie is able to provide information in regards to private testing via other venues.
Cost: $29.00 – $39.00, per test. There is no fee to MRCS for test administration. The fee is paid directly to BJU Press for the test material at the time the order is placed.
Additional Details: All tests will be sent directly to Deborah Hawie, MRCS Testing Coordinator, from BJU Press. However, the test results will be sent directly to the parent. Additional, pertinent information will be sent closer to the test date. Ms. Hawie may also be contacted with questions and/or concerns regarding the Iowa testing procedures.
