The Planetarium at Pensacola State College

A Planetarium show consists of a full dome movie and a live interactive night sky presentation. This tour is educational and exciting for all groups. The movie we will be watching is “Microcosm: The Adventure Within.” It is an adventure to “inner space,” rather than outer space and will captivate ages K-12, including adults. At the Center of Miniaturized Medicine in the year 2053, you’ll shrink down to the size of a microbe and get injected into a patient who is suffering an infection from a mysterious virus. As you travel from the base of the eye to the interior of the heart, you’ll explore exotic ports of call in CMM Probe Alpha with its robotic outboard scout vehicle. As you piece together the clues the virus has left behind, you’ll experience laser battles, genetic weapons, and lots of surprises, as you race against time to save the patient on your roller-coaster ride through the body. This amazing show will be followed by a live night sky presentation. We will spend about an hour in the theater.

Paint & Pals Studio, Mobile

Our group will have a great time together at Paint & Pals! The children will each get step by step instruction on how to properly paint their own pre-sketched image. Each child will have their own canvas to take home upon completion. The paint is fast-drying and clean-up is done by the staff. This is a fun and imaginative experience that allows a firsthand look at how much art can enrich young lives!

Target “Behind the Scenes” Tour, Schillinger Rd.

We will tour the store and see all the “behinds the scenes” action, including cake decorating. This is a very fun field trip for both kids and adults. Total time at the store is about an hour.
