MRCS will be offering standardized testing this spring at Moffett Road Assembly of God church on March 15-16, 2018 from 8 a.m.- 12 p.m. Testing is for MRCS students in grades 3-12 only. You will find information below needed for ordering your child’s test. The deadline for ordering standardized testing materials is January 31st. Please pay careful attention to order the correct test type when selecting your child’s grade level. For your convenience, orders can either be placed by phone or online. Information on where to go, what to bring, and what to expect on test day will be provided as we get closer to our testing dates.

All official tests and practice tests can be ordered through customer service at BJU PRESS, 1-800-845-5731 or bjupresshomeschool.com. Customer service at BJU is more than happy to assist you while ordering! Both online and telephone ordering is quite simple.

You will need to provide the following information when prompted:

Test type: IOWA Form E, Complete Composite
Test Dates: March 15-16, 2018
Tester Name: Heather Sanders
Tester number: 75094730
Test site address: 6159 Moffett Road Mobile, AL, 36618

*A note about accommodations: Because of limited staffing and volunteers, MRCS is unable to provide individual private testing or accommodations such that an IEP requires. If accommodations are needed, you will need to contact a private testing site.

The deadline for ordering the IOWA test is January 31st. If your order isn’t placed by the deadline, materials may not be delivered in time for the MRCS test date. It is your responsibility to order materials by the deadline.

*A Note about Practice Tests: Because your child engages in day to day learning, there is no practice needed to prepare for the test content per se, however you are welcome to order practice test if you would like your child to practice the actual format of this particular exam.  The practice tests are to be ordered SEPARATELY and will need to be shipped directly to your home address, unlike the official test to be taken at MRCS (mailed directly to MRCS). BJU suggests getting the practice test ordered by January 15th, and working through it slowly over a period of about two weeks. This is not a requirement, but we want to inform you in the event you feel it’s best your child practices the format of the exam before test day. If you believe it is unnecessary for your child to practice from home, then disregard this portion of instructions.

Interpreting test results is quite easy with the help of the team at BJU Press. You will have full access to your child’s test results about two weeks following the exam. If you need any help with instructions on how to view and interpret results, you may call BJU Press and they will answer any questions you have, as well as help you understand the scores and how they relate to your child’s academic progress.

MRCS looks forward to serving your family through providing a standardized testing option in the Spring!

Look for more tidbits in the coming weeks concerning test day details!
